6 Easy Vegan Microwave Recipes Just for Kids

Your cooker can be messed up, and you’ve got a microwave for all your kitchen troubles. For such a case, you might think of ordering pizza or just go to the nearest food outlet and grab something. Is it possible to execute your vegan recipes in a microwave?

Home-cooked food has some love in it that gives it that excellent taste that’s why many kids love momma’s cooking. Being able to control the ingredients and balancing the spices can come in handy in the kitchen, and this is something your kid should learn. You need to introduce your toddler to the kitchen to get started. However, you should prepare yourself with some tips to get those vegan recipes going. The must-haves include;

  • Prepare them for what to expect
  • Educate them on food
  • Include tasting and touching of tools and ingredients
  • Have fun all through.

Your Go-To Vegan Microwave Recipes

Now that your toddler knows their way around the kitchen, it’s time to work on those vegan recipes with what you’ve got – the microwave. Most people refer to it as the smaller version of the oven, but this device can still do more than warm your leftovers. Since we’re all about vegan dishes here, let’s see what options we’ve got:

1. Colorful Tasty Noodles

This would be the easy vegan recipes that you can go for during lunchtime. You need to put water in a bowl and dip your noodles inside, then put them in a microwave and time it to cook for 60 seconds. Meanwhile, get a larger bowl and neatly put your nicely diced red and yellow bell pepper, some basil, tomatoes, coriander leaves, extra virgin oil, salt, and pepper and mix it well. After your noodles are done, throw them in the bowl and mix evenly, serve and enjoy.

2. Vegan Muffins

Speaking of snacks, muffins can be an excellent vegan breakfast recipe to enjoy with your kids. The taste and texture are what kids love most, and we just have the right way of making them. Get your bowl, and for your ingredients, add flour, sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, baking powder, vegetable oil, milk, salt, raisins, blueberry, and dates. Mix them well and put the mixture into proportions in a baking pan and slide them in the microwave. Muffins take less time to bake, and in 25 minutes, take them off and enjoy with a cold fresh fruit juice.

3. Sticky Rice with Mangoes

This can be an easy choice of vegan recipes for the beginner. All you need to do before cooking is soak your rice overnight so that it can be sticky and easy to cook using the oven. Take your rice from the water you soaked on, put them in a bowl, and put it in the microwave for about 4 minutes, make sure you also cover it with aluminum foil to distribute the heat. Take it out and mix it, taking it back to the microwave to cook evenly. When it’s done, pour some cream and sprinkle some salt pepper, and sesame seeds. Dice your mango pieces and add them to the bowl. Mix evenly and serve once done.

4. Vegetable Rice

Soak your brown rice overnight and move them to a different bowl and take it to the oven. Let it cook for 6 minutes, taking it out after 2 minutes interval to mix it to get even cooking. Once done, add ready-to-eat peas, thinly sliced capsicum, diced grilled Brussels sprouts, salt, black pepper, and a sauce of your choice and mix properly to get your ultimate dish. This is the best you can do for vegan, gluten-free recipes.

5. Baked Potatoes Chips

You can go for either sweet or Irish potatoes, depending on your preference. Just slice them very lightly using the best kitchen gadgets and season them with salt and sprinkle some paprika and cinnamon. Bake them for around 30 minutes and sit down to enjoy your movie night.

6. Macaroni with Baked Beans

Put the Macaroni in a bowl of water and take them in the microwave for 10 minutes because they are thicker than spaghetti. Meanwhile, prepare your baked beans with onions, garlic, ginger, turmeric, oil, salt, tomato paste then add them to the already done macaroni. Mix well and put them back in the microwave for 3 minutes while closed. Take them out, and there go your high protein vegan recipes.
