Are you consider traveling and are searching for the best places to visit in Florida?  Then we have a great list! There is no who one does not like to travel. Traveling opens our hearts and minds and inspires us in many ways. Doctors have found out that there are many health benefits of traveling as well.

From releasing stress and reducing anxiety to boosting the feel-good chemicals of the brain, the benefits and positive effects of traveling are endless.

If you have been thinking about traveling with your family to spend some quality time with them, and especially with your kids, then we have the right place for you.

Start with Florida this summer.

Florida: The Wonder World

From breaches to theme parks, Florida has everything that you and your kids need this summer. In every corner of the city, there are places where you can make memories that are going to be etched in the minds of your children long after they become adults.

Places To Visit In Florida With Kids: Summer Edition

Popularly known as the Sunshine State, Florida has always been one of the most visited summer destinations for ages. And there are sufficient reasons too. The state has everything that a family could ask for.

Here are some of the best places to visit in Florida with children:

1. Disney World, Orlando

With a refreshing and delicious sundae ice cream in their hands, your little ones are going to love every minute they spend at Disney World. Why? Because this is the place where they can see their best Disney characters come to life!

Walt Disney World is one of the most visited places in the world every day of the year. This 25,000 acres park has as many as four theme parks inside this mega one. The names of the respective theme parks are Blizzard Beach, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and the Typhoon Lagoon.

When you hop inside, make sure to get the autographs of your kid’s favorite Disney character. Your children can enjoy the parades and the fireworks which are indeed the most enjoyable. Also, you can plan to stay in the Disney resorts which are theme-based.

2. Coral Reef State Park, Key Largo

If you are in love with sea creatures, this is one of the places that you should visit with your kids this summer. It is a well-known fact that Florida has one of the best underwater wildlife.

Let your kid explore the beautiful and mesmerizing marine world while snorkeling in the sea. The water is shallow, and the scuba divers are always there to help those who are learning the sport. If yours is a family that loves water sports, head over to the Coral Reef State Park.

Many tours are available throughout the day with a star attraction being the glass bottom boat. You can also rent sit-on-top kayaks, canoes, and paddleboard rentals to explore the park’s 50 miles of natural mangrove wilderness trails in Pennekamp waters.

3. Mote Marine Laboratory, Sarasota

This is famous for being an independent and nonprofit organization. It aims to improve marine science and advocates for the sustainable use of all kinds of marine resources. The Mote marine laboratory is a public aquarium that is one of the best places for your child to learn about marine life.

Meet several sea creatures, from sharks and sea turtles to manatees. Even though the place focuses on educating the visitors, it does not take away from the charm of the aquarium that it holds for the children.

4. Sanibel Island

The Sanibel islands is a great place for you and your kids if all you are looking for is to build sandcastles on the beach and surf in the sea. Away from the crowds, a visit to the Sanibel islands will let you have quality time with your kids that you have been hoping to have for a long time.

The beaches of the islands are not too crowded, like the Navarre Beach in Florida, which is a famous spot among tourists. Rather, if you want to spend the time basking in the sun while reading a book and enjoying the scenic view, this one’s for you.

Look for seashells with your kids or stroll along the shore; the choice is yours.

5. Universal Studios, Orlando

Located in Orlando, Universal Studios is one of the best themed parks in the world. No child in the world has not had their best day here. The rides and the stunt shows will keep your child wanting more. There are an array of roller coaster rides, and 3d and 4d shows that will make your fantasies come alive. You will at least need a total of 4 days if you want to explore all the 3 theme parks. Also, on busy days avail yourself the VIP passes that will help you to skip the long lines and get the best seats to enjoy all the shows.

Snack on the sweet treats from the Honeydukes of the wizardry world of Harry Potter. If you are a fan of the Harry Potter series, it is a great way to make your inner child come out and enjoy it as well. Buy the magic wands and have a blast using it at designated areas throughout the park. These areas are connected to the wands and respond to the magic spells. What a wonderful place for kids!

Do not miss the silver screening of your favorite shows and movies like Harry Potter and Despicable Me. The water parks are also there to add some freshness to your trip.

Final Words

Known as the Sunshine State for all the sunshine that it receives, Florida has been one of the best summer as well as winter destinations for years. This is because of the subtropical climate of the state. Though the best months to travel are April, May, October and November, you can visit the place all throughout the year. And if you are from a colder place, consider visiting during the winter months when it is so pleasant and warm in Florida.

Now as you know about all the amazing places to visit in Florida, pack your bags and hit the road to make some memories with your kids!
